All batteries supplied by Knights are guaranteed for a minimum of 3 years.

We have a large stock of quality Numax batteries which fit 95% of cars on the road today from Micra to Masarati.

We also do a range of Heavy duty, high performance batteries with a four year warranty.

Not only do we supply car batteries, but also batteries from lawnmowers to marine applications.

To have your battery tested free of charge at Knights, please ensure that your battery is fully charged, we are unable to perform tests on batteries without a full charge.

Be aware that batteries that have been discharged more than 40% and then recharged repeatedly can suffer irreparable damage and may be void of warranty and unable to keep a full charge. Also during normal use, every time a battery goes through a charge and discharge cycle, a small amount of the active mass is lost from the plates. Because the ultimate life of a battery depends on so many factors, it is impossible to stipulate a minimum/maximum life expectancy. this process of normal ageing through the charge and discharge cycle will eventually cause your battery to lose capacity, and it will come to the point where the battery can no longer start the vehicle or equipment, this is not a manufacturing fault but is guaranteed not to happen for 3 years on private car batteries.

Under normal operating conditions, a battery cannot be discharged on it's own. the reason for discharge is normally attributed to :-

• Malfunctioning alternator, regulator or starter motor
• Slipping fan belt
• Electrical fault
• Excessive use of electrical consumers- car phones, air conditioning etc
• Long time standing without recharge
• Boot light/glove box malfunction
• Vehicle lights being left on.
